Discovery Network Partnership

Through April 2006, JAMRS is partnering with the Discovery Network to develop a co-branded awareness campaign in support of the Today's Military documentary.

The campaign seeks to inform educators, parents, and students about the various careers and opportunities in the Military and includes the following elements:

Micro-site. As the main component of the campaign, the micro-site lives within the Discovery Network's Discovery School section and provides clips from the documentary Today's Military: Extraordinary People. Extraordinary Opportunities. The clips offer a unique glimpse into the lives of ten servicemembers and give an honest look at military service. While the micro-site specifically encourages educators to sign up for the entire documentary on DVD, it also drives all users to the Today's Military Web site for more information.

Online Advertising. With a mix of traditional banners, rich media, and page takeovers on various pages throughout Discovery.com, the online advertising executions convey information about the unique career opportunities in the Military and ultimately steer users to the micro-site.
