SON:Hey, Mom?
She glances over her shoulder to look at her older son who sitting in the next room on the couch.
SON:You know... I haven't changed my mind about joining the Military.
MOM: I didn't expect you would. Just wanted to make sure you thought things through.
SON:I did. And I know that for me, this is the right decision. It's what I was meant to do.
MOM:I believe that.
SON:Then why'd you want me to keep thinking about it?
She stops brushing daughter's hair and looks back at her son smiling and says…
MOM:Because I'm your mom. And that's my job.
